Courtyard by Marriott Cleveland Elyria

This area of Cleveland seems very depressed, and there are many empty strip malls and other signs of blight. However, if you need to stay in the area (we are parents of a kid at Oberlin), this is a *great* hotel among a number of hotels choices that are *really* grubby. Very clean, very safe, very new and modern. I've stayed at Courtyard Marriott hotels while traveling on business for years, and this one was the nicest I've experienced. Do stay here if you must be in this strange part of Ohio!

Clean, updated. Friendly and helpful staff.

Very easy to get off and on turnpike. Food, gas and shopping very near. A few better options for restaurants or coffee a short drive into the downtown. Room was spacious and attractive. Quiet. There are some abandoned buildings, a Sears, hotel and most of the nearby mall, but as another review states not a worry

I appreciated the cleanliness of the whole facility. Everyone was super friendly and helpful.

Comfy beds, room temperature, large bathroom, good parking (especially for uhauls), walking distance to restaurants, right off the highway, receptive staff, good cable.
